There are two sections of the Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail open to public use; the 14 km trail between Kaikohe and Okaihau and the 6 km ride between Otiria and Kawakawa. These are grade 1 – easy rides for the whole family to enjoy.
The trails take you through historical places of interest dating back to early Māori and European times.
Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail in Northland is part of the New Zealand Cycle Trail network throughout New Zealand. It’s free to ride any day from dawn to sunset, weather permitting, so start planning your ride.
